This is a good choice if you want to see more of Phuket than the beaches. In Old Town, you explore Thalang Road and its Sino-Portuguese houses on foot. The van then continues to Wat Chalong and Big Buddha. Depending on the light and route, Karon Viewpoint or Promthep is included too.
If you only want to visit a temple, a Wat Chalong-only trip is a better and less expensive fit. Markets are best saved for an evening. The city tour brings together the classic daytime sights, and all planned stops are listed in the programme in advance.
The tour runs all year and is a useful alternative in rain or rough sea conditions. Clouds can limit the views from viewpoints, but temples and Old Town remain worthwhile stops. Mornings are often cooler at Big Buddha, while an afternoon tour may include sunset at Promthep.
For Wat Chalong, cover shoulders and knees and remove shoes. Big Buddha has stairs; if you prefer not to climb, you can use the lower area. Travel is by air-conditioned van, with most of the walking in Old Town.
Half-day tours start at ฿1,290. Shorter mini-tours can cost less, while full-day tours with lunch and private trips cost more.
A half day normally lasts four to five hours. Allow around eight to nine hours for a full day with lunch and more time at the individual stops.
Old Town, Wat Chalong, Big Buddha and a viewpoint are typical. Check the itinerary before booking, especially if you do not want shopping or factory stops.
A German-speaking guide may be available on request, but is not standard. Please share your preference when booking.
Yes. Van journeys are short, and children under three often travel free. The same behaviour and dress rules apply to everyone in the temple.
