After a beach day, the evening moves indoors – and the choice is wider than it looks. Fantasea in Kamala is the classic: buffet from around 17:30, time to wander the park, then the big stage show. Carnival Magic sits a few minutes away and usually runs on the nights Fantasea is dark – more lights and effects than history lesson. Siam Niramit near Phuket Town is pure theatre about Thai history, with no park at all; it stays dark on Tuesdays.
Simon Cabaret in Patong is drag – playback, costumes and glitter. It’s a glamorous night for adults and teens, not a kids’ show. Stadium Muay Thai is real sport: loud crowd, hard fights, not for everyone. Aqua Circus in Kathu is shorter, cheaper and popular with families. Want elephants without a stage? That belongs to the sanctuary page. Fantasea is entertainment with animals, not a welfare project.
| Name | Duration | From |

| Muay Thai live | 3 hours | from ฿1,500 |

| Phuket Fantasea | Evening (buffet+show) | from ฿฿1,800 |
Check the calendar first, then book. Fantasea often runs Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, Carnival Magic Monday, Wednesday and Saturday; Siam Niramit plays almost every night except Tuesday. On Thursdays Siam is frequently the only house open. Simon Cabaret and the Patong fight stadiums run far more often. If you only search for “anything tonight” in the evening, you’ll often end up with nothing – the weekday decides what is on, not the advertising.
Rain won’t cancel an indoor show. In high season (December to March) good seats sell out quickly: book late in the afternoon and you’ll sit at the back.
Every stage has a roof. On rainy days a show often beats an island trip.
High season: book Fantasea and Siam Niramit early.
The first question isn’t the price – it’s whether the show runs at all that night.
Before you pay, we check that the show is actually running on your date and that hotel, calendar and pickup all line up – before any van is ordered. Not sure? Message us on WhatsApp and we’ll answer in English.
Family, big spectacle and dinner: Fantasea. Thai history as theatre without a park: Siam Niramit. Lasers and kid-wow: Carnival Magic or Aqua Circus. A glitzy night, teens and up: Simon Cabaret. Real fights and loud crowds: Muay Thai.
Simon Cabaret from ฿800, Siam Niramit from ฿1,800, Muay Thai from ฿1,500, Fantasea, Carnival Magic and dinner shows from ฿1,800. Gold seats and buffets cost extra, and the transfer is not part of every basic price – check the cheap tickets carefully.
Fantasea and Carnival Magic usually split the week between them and rarely run on the same night. Siam Niramit is dark on Tuesdays; on Thursdays it is often the only open stage. Look at the calendar before you click, not the advertising.
Aqua Circus, Carnival Magic, Fantasea and Siam Niramit: yes, with some allowance for noise and length. Simon Cabaret is glamour for teens and adults, not a nursery outing. Muay Thai can get bloody; most parents wait until around age ten, but it’s your call.
Fantasea: park, buffet, animals on stage, in Kamala. Siam Niramit: pure theatre about history near Phuket Town, no animals on stage. No elephant spectacle for you? Choose Siam.
Silver is honestly fine – the halls are built for distance. Gold gets you closer and costs more. Ringside only exists at Muay Thai, splash included. From the cheap back rows you still see the lasers.
Whether the ride is included is written on the ticket. For Simon Cabaret and the Patong fight stadiums, a Grab is often cheaper than the shared van. For Kamala and Siam Niramit, the van usually pays off with three or more people.
With Fantasea the buffet is the point of the ticket – don’t arrive full. Siam’s dinner is an optional add-on. Simon Cabaret is short: eat in Patong first. At Muay Thai expect snacks, not restaurant food.
Smart casual is fine; temple dress rules don’t apply here. No flash during the show. Phone photos are okay, professional tripods usually not allowed.
Online or by WhatsApp. You’ll get a voucher; bring ID along as well. Indoor shows rarely cancel – but a dark weekday is a real thing.
