Koh Rok and Koh Haa are located in a marine national park near the border between Krabi and Trang provinces, about 90 km southeast of Phuket. Itinerary of the Koh Rok & Koh Haa Tour
Dive into the crystal-clear water of the Andaman Sea on this full-day snorkeling adventure. Perfect for sea lovers and nature enthusiasts! The exact times may vary slightly depending on the weather and sea conditions.
- 06:20 – 07:30 – Hotel pick-up Transfer in a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus. The pick-up time depends on the hotel zone (Rawai, Naiharn, Kamala, Patong, Kata, Phuket Town, Cape Panwa and many more).
- 08:00 – Check-in at Seestar Pier (Laem Nga Pier) Reception by the team, snacks & drinks, distribution of snorkeling equipment and towels. Short briefing on the day’s programme and safety instructions.
- 10:20 – Snorkeling at Koh Rok (Siam Bay / Rok Nai) First snorkeling round in the Siam Bay at Koh Rok Nai – colorful coral reefs, clownfish, bright reef fish and often also sea turtles await you. Visibility of up to 25 meters is possible in the high season.
- 11:45 – Beach lunch on Koh Rok Delicious Thai buffet on the white sandy beach of Koh Rok – directly on the turquoise water of the Andaman Sea. Time to swim, sunbathe and relax.
- 14:20 – Snorkeling at Koh Haa (Koh Haa Yai) Second snorkeling unit in the coral gardens of Koh Haa Yai – known for its extraordinary underwater biodiversity and brilliant visibility. The five limestone islands offer different snorkeling spots depending on the weather.
- 15:40 – Dolphin watching at Maiton Island Boat trip along the quiet coast of Maiton Island – keep your eyes open for wild dolphins! Sightings are not guaranteed, but chances are good in the morning hours.
- 17:00 – 19:00 – Return to Seastar Pier & transfer Arrival at Laem Nga Pier and transfer to your hotel with unforgettable memories. The exact return time depends on the hotel zone and traffic.

Super Schnorcheln, Anfahrt halt lang
Schnorcheln ganz klar 5 Sterne, insgesamt gebe ich 4, weil der Tag schon anstrengend ist. Abholung in Kamala kam ca. 20 Minuten zu spät und Rückfahrt im Stau hat fast 1,5 Stunden gedauert. Boot war voll, aber nicht überfüllt, man hatte Platz.
Dafür: Korallen bei Koh Haa mega, Siam Bay mit Schildkröte, Essen am Strand gut, Crew freundlich und hilfsbereit. Delfine haben wir keine gesehen, soll wohl morgens wahrscheinlicher sein. Trotzdem klare Empfehlung – aber Seatabletten einpacken, wenn ihr empfindlich seid!

Unser Flitterwochen-Highlight
Wir waren Mitte Dezember da, Wetter ein Traum. Mein Mann schnorchelt viel, ich eher selten – und wir waren beide happy. Riesige Fischschwärme, Clownfische, eine Schildkröte ganz nah. Mein Mann meinte, Koh Haa gehört zum Besten, was er in Thailand je gesehen hat.
Der Strand auf Koh Rok ist der Wahnsinn, weißer Sand, kaum Leute. Delfine bei Maiton haben wir leider nur ganz kurz in der Ferne gesehen, aber egal, der Tag war trotzdem perfekt. Lange Anfahrt lohnt sich absolut.

Perfect even for beginners
My wife was nervous, first time snorkelling. One of the guides stayed with her the whole first stop, with life jacket and noodle. She ended up loving it and saw a turtle!
Booking via WhatsApp was easy, pickup from Patong hotel no problem. Boat wasn’t overcrowded, top deck is great for views. Koh Haa coral gardens are stunning for photos – I brought my GoPro and got my best shots of the whole trip. Lunch on the beach, back in Patong around 6:30pm. Highly recommended.

Traumtag, besser als Phi Phi
Wir wurden um 6:50 Uhr in Patong pünktlich abgeholt, klimatisierter Minibus, alles entspannt. Am Pier gab’s Toast, Kaffee und ein kurzes Briefing. Boot ist groß mit 2 Decks, setzt euch oben hin!
Erster Stopp Siam Bay: Wir haben direkt eine Schildkröte gesehen, dazu Clownfische ohne Ende. Wasser glasklar. Mittagessen direkt am Strand, Pad Thai, Hähnchen, Reis, Obst – einfach, aber echt lecker.
Koh Haa am Nachmittag war fast noch schöner. Fahrt ist lang, ca. 1,5 Stunden, aber genau deshalb ist es dort noch so leer. Absolute Empfehlung!

Worth every baht
Done a lot of snorkel trips in Thailand over the years, this is the best one. The 2-deck catamaran is fast and stable, crew from Seastar were legends, gear was in good condition.
Viz must’ve been 20m+ easy at both spots. Beach lunch on Koh Rok Nai, white sand, no crowds because it only runs Wed & Sat. Long ride out there (about 90 mins) but that’s why it’s still pristine. Book it.

Best snorkelling day we had in Thailand
We did Phi Phi and Coral Island before this, and Rok / Haa was on another level. Pickup at 6:50 in Kata was right on time, comfy minivan. Check-in at Seastar Pier was quick, toast, coffee and proper briefing.
First stop Siam Bay at Koh Rok – we saw a turtle within 10 minutes! So many clownfish and blue reef fish, water insanely clear. Lunch is right on the beach, simple Thai buffet but really tasty.
Koh Haa in the afternoon was even better for visibility. Didn’t see dolphins at Maiton on the way back, but honestly didn’t matter. Long day, back around 6pm, totally worth it. Bring reef-safe sunscreen!

Top organisiert von Anfang bis Ende
Über WhatsApp angefragt und innerhalb von 10 Minuten Antwort bekommen (auf Englisch, aber super freundlich). Abholung, Check-in, Schnorchelequipment, alles professionell. Seastar hat echt Erfahrung, man merkt es.
Guides sprechen gut Englisch und achten auf Sicherheit, es gab Schwimmwesten und Nudeln für Unsichere. Mittagspause fast 2 Stunden am Strand von Koh Rok, Zeit zum Baden und Chillen. Seegang war bei uns okay, im März spiegelglatt. Würden wir sofort wieder machen.
Tipp: Wer empfindlich ist, nimmt sich ein eigenes Schnorchel-Mundstück mit.

Amazing reefs, very long day
Snorkelling itself is 5 stars, I’m giving 4 overall just because it’s a BIG day. Early pickup at 6:40 in Kamala (on time) and about 1.5h each way by boat. It was a bit choppy on the way back, so take seasickness pills if you’re sensitive.
That said: Koh Rok looks like a postcard, guides were super attentive, lunch was good, lots of fruit and soft drinks all day. We didn’t get lucky with dolphins at Maiton, others on the boat saw fins far away. Would still do it again, just know what you’re signing up for.

Highlight of our honeymoon!!
We got SO lucky – pod of 3-4 dolphins next to the boat near Maiton Island on the way back! The whole boat was screaming, crew stopped for a few minutes. Magical moment.
Rest of the day was perfect too: crystal water, clownfish everywhere, white beach, good Thai food for lunch, national park feels untouched compared to Phi Phi. Early start is tough but 100% worth it. If you only do one tour from Phuket, do this one.
