Plan to arrive early – not at showtime. First the buffet, then time to wander the park, later the curtain goes up. The hall is huge; expect a mix of Thai fairy tales, acrobatics and light effects. Gold gets you closer, and from the Silver seats you still see everything well.
Carnival Magic is the more modern neighbour in Kamala and usually takes the nights when Fantasea is dark. Siam Niramit is pure theatre without a park. Fantasea is the evening tour groups mean when they say “the show”. Budget around four hours door to door, including pickup, buffet, park time and the performance.
Rain doesn’t matter – the calendar does. In many weeks Fantasea runs Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, and Carnival Magic takes most of the other nights. In high season (December to March) book early or you’ll sit at the back.
The buffet is the reason the ticket costs what it does. No flash during the show. The hall is air-conditioned, so light clothes are enough. Kids are welcome – just allow for an evening that runs past 22:00.
Packs start at ฿2,200 in the table (show plus buffet, often with transfer). Show-only tickets cost less, gold seats and the seafood buffet more. There isn’t one price for every category.
The buffet starts in the late afternoon and the show runs about 70–90 minutes. Allow roughly four hours door to door – it’s a full evening, not a compact one-off show.
Yes, elephants are part of the programme. That is entertainment, not a sanctuary. Prefer not to watch it? Choose Siam Niramit or an elephant visit on our nature hub.
Basically yes. It gets loud, long and late. Under-fours are often free but sit on your lap. Kids falling asleep in the van on the way home is completely normal.
Check the calendar before you pay: there really are dark nights. Carnival Magic is not simply the substitute for the same evening – the two venues run separate schedules.
