The Ram Muay dance opens the evening, then the fighting starts – this is not a culture dinner with dancers in boxing gloves. Ringside means right next to the sweat and spray. From the stadium seats you see just as much and pay less.
The standard venue is Bangla Boxing Stadium behind Jungceylon in Patong; other stadiums, such as Rawai, fight on their own nights. Whether kids come along is your decision – not the tout’s on Bangla Road.
Fights run on many nights, usually starting around 21:00. Rain changes nothing in the ring. In high season the ringside seats go early.

Transfer packs start at ฿1,990. If you make your own way, tickets at the door are often from ฿1,500, ringside around ฿1,900. The difference in the pack is usually the transfer.

From about age ten, if you know your child. Under-fives are often free but it’s rarely the right seat – don’t underestimate the noise and the intensity.
Several bouts, often running towards midnight. Stay for the last bell if you want the full night; those just dipping in can leave after the first fights.
