Double the ride time, double the terrain

If a taster session is not enough, this is your tour: the 2-hour route goes deeper into Phuket’s jungle landscape than any other ATV 200 tour – steep hillside climbs, dense forest sections and wide ridgeline stretches with open ocean views. Two hours in the saddle mean you arrive at the Big Buddha feeling like you have earned the view.

Two hours on an ATV 200 is a proper physical adventure – arms, core and focus are all working, and the terrain shifts between smooth and demanding. Experience is still not required: the practice loop is longer and the guides ride with you the whole way.

The on-site program runs about 9:00–11:30 am or 1:00–3:30 pm, plus the hotel transfer (30–90 min). Pickup is free in Patong, Kata, Karon, Chalong and Rawai. Drivers from 15 years, passengers from 5 years – not suitable for pregnant women or people with back problems or limited mobility.

Good to know: ATVs and buggies are no longer permitted to drive all the way up to the Big Buddha – the ride ends at the foot of Nakkerd Hill and a shuttle takes you to the grounds. Itinerary
  1. Hotel pickup: Air-conditioned minivan, morning 8:00–8:45 am or afternoon 12:00–12:45 pm – free in Patong, Kata, Karon, Chalong & Rawai, surcharge for outer zones.
  2. Safety briefing & registration: Helmet, controls and trail rules – no driving licence required.
  3. Extended training loop: More time to get fully comfortable on the ATV 200.
  4. Deep jungle trail (about 2 hrs): The longest off-road section of any ATV 200 tour – climbs, forest and ridgeline stretches; ends at the foot of Nakkerd Hill (road up to the Big Buddha closed to ATVs).
  5. Shuttle transfer: Short transfer up to the Big Buddha grounds.
  6. Big Buddha: Explore the outdoor area of the 45-metre landmark at your own pace – the interior is currently inaccessible due to construction work.
  7. Ridgeline viewpoint: Panorama across the Andaman Sea.
  8. Skywalk: Finale at Phuket’s most spectacular elevated viewpoint.
  9. Return transfer: Back to your hotel – transfer takes 30–90 min depending on location.
